A substantial part of them is ran by owners, who lost the enthusiasm to further grow their firm or to adapt to new developments and left their, already functioning, businesses in desperate need for new leadership. CYNQUIRO aims to provide a platform to identify these companies, through the sponsorship of search funds, who are interested in being a part of the community of entrepreneurs driven by innovation.

Once attractive companies are identified, and an acquisition is possible, CYNQURIO could acquire the firm and launch the transformation with the support of its unique network of advisers with expertise in blockchain technology, entrepreneurship, finance and consulting. During the transformation phase it will develop blockchain-based as well as industry and company specific solutions aimed to reduce operating costs, while significantly increasing efficiency. Aiming to unlock the full potential of the acquired company in due course. After the transformation is complete, the search fund could exit the company and continue its search for a new target with support of the platform. The know-how gained in the transformation of the company, however, would remain the blockchain network and continue to be a part of the community. Over time, as the network of search funders and transformed companies grows, the process will accelerate exponentially due to availably of already deployed solutions.

We are living in a storm, in which predicting the future of our system has seldomly been more uncertain and urgent. The question asked by the Insitute for the Future is "How can we shift our focus from the competencies that led us in the past and adapt to the current, volatile and demanding environment to spot emerging opportunities?" Based on a World Economic Forum on “Technology Tipping Points and Societal Impact”, 10% of the global gross domestic product (GDP) of around $80 trillion will be stored on blockchain technology by 2027. And why starting a new company if there are existing successful businesses with tremendous disruption and transformation potential? The central problem could be that the market is closed to innovative investors and characterised by sticking to long-standing traditions. Thus, the advent of Search Funds. A Search Fund is a form of entrepreneurial private investment wherein recent graduates of elite business schools work to identify and acquire small businesses, with funding primarily provided by a network of alumni, specialized Search Fund investors, and high net worth individuals. Once the transaction is complete, the searchers transition from executing the transaction to being the CEOs of the business. Putting their skill set to work, they then work to grow the company with the intent of realizing a return through the sale of the company. The search fund model was first pioneered in 1984 at Stanford GSB and since that time there have been over 140 Search Funds formed. The CryptoSearchLab Foundation thinks that Blockchain technology could reinvent entrepreneurship through acquisition through a unique network and investment platform.
